On the cisco, mode on sets etherchannel not LACP (802.3ad). All static port
channels, that is, that are not running LACP, remain in this mode. If you
attempt to change the channel mode to active or passive before enabling
LACP, the device returns an error message.
You enable LACP on each channel b
More likely, it's the forced "on" mode which disables LACP. Try it with
mode active.

[channel-group N mode on] with IOS just enables portchanneling unconditionally.
Wouldn't that, in conjunction wit
It's strange that one end shows the interface as up, but the other does not.
Is it possible that you're using SFPs that only do 1000base-T?
What if you take the individual ports out of the ae / etherchannel and
just go point-to-point, does the link show as up then?
Maybe try cabling up to the ma

2 things:
1/ add "family ccc" under ge-1/2/0.2
2/ add "encapsulation ethernet" under l2circuit neighbor config.
Default encaps when You use tagged units is "ethernet-vlan" and with
"ethernet-vlan" the L2circuit actually checks if VLAN ids are same on both

I’ve a couple of virtual chassis EX4200 (same Junos 11.4R5.7) connected with
two links (now one is faulty) in LAG, scenario quite simple.
4200A == 4200B
The following problem are experienced:
1) LAG comes up only when LACP is disabled, hence static config.

I’ve a couple of EX in VC configuration

Any idea ?
