I want to run OAM LFM on a OSPF/MPLS backbone (p2p links) running BFD.
primary purpose:
* detection at l2
* if there are errors, shut down the link.
* if there is udld, shut down the link.
If anyone doing something similar and can share the configuration, it would
be helpful.

yep, can echo this. had to upgrade my mx5 to mx80 for all the 10GE ports.

You have to look first at the IS-IS database: show isis database detail
For that prefix P, you'll see two routers advertising it, the local router R1
and the remote router R2.
( I assume say that you are advertising these prefixes with the default metric
which is 0. In any case, the explanat
MX104 is not supported in 12.3, it's that simple (13.2 minimum).
And about features, MX104 is on par with other MX only in 13.3 anyway.
Not very different on newer PTX chassis.
