[gwenview] [Bug 519967] Missing ability to copy image to clipboard as an image
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=519967 John Veness changed: What|Removed |Added Status|NEEDSINFO |REPORTED Resolution|WORKSFORME |--- --- Comment #2 from John Veness --- Thanks for the info. You're right, I can paste an image from Gwenview into LibreOffice OK. I was accessing GitHub via Firefox, with Firefox installed as a Flatpak, trying to paste a JPG image using Ctrl+V into a comment on a GitHub issue. I've just tried with Firefox installed as a normal app, and I can paste from Gwenview into there OK, so it's something to do with the Flatpak. But it's still odd that I can copy and paste from Spectacle into a Flatpak installation of Firefox OK, so there's still something going on here that's different between Spectacle and Gwenview. Both are installed as normal apps, not Flatpaks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I am not a KDE Developer. I am a normal KDE user. I am not able to reproduce this issue. The Software versions as given by the creator of this issue differ from mine. Details are given below. I am not on openSUSE rather on Arch. I am able to copy images opened in Gwenview using the keyboard short cut CTRL+C as well as the hamburger menu option Copy. Can the following information be provided. 1) What was the image format that was used ? JPG or PNG or BMP or JPG-2000 or JPEG XL or some other format. 2) Which browser was used to paste the image into the Github? Was it Firefox? Chromium? Vivaldi? or something else. 3) When the image is copied from Gwenview can it be posted into other applications like an office suite (e.g. LibreOffice), image manipulation application (krita or gimp)?
