https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=489791 --- Comment #3 from Tomé --- I am currently using a default-like, always visible, thicker panel with the icons-only task manager solely because, otherwise—with an auto-hide dock—the only way I can make it appear is by moving my mouse to the bottom of the screen (I much prefer keyboard shortcuts).
