test kernels, then I dont think you get the source code with any
distribution. Be it redhat (fedora) or debian (ubuntu). In case you want to

I dont want to start a distribution war amongst the developers but
what seems to be the preferred distribution for kernel developers that
has prooven its pace to be able to develop and test vanilla kernels
with ease, and includes a gui desktop.
