Thanks for looking through; I found a simple solution for now:

installed in the 2.6.18 kernel.

Hi
I am running kernel version 2.6.18, but it looks like veth pair
support is not available, as I am not able to create pairs of devices
using "ip link add type veth" command. Is there a backport of veth
pair for this kernel? If not, is there a way to emulate the
functionality?
