Gayle,
I think I would create a gedcom file and save it on a flash drive. Just in
case you find a computer that has a genealogy program on it, you could
import the gedcom and hopefully use it that way.

tasks that are still open.

Richard and Cathy,

Hi all,
I have two questions that may have been answered before, so please bear with
me. First, is there a Legacy program for the German language.Secondly,
can the English version of my Legacy family data file be translated to
German. I can go the reports section, in my Legacy program, and m
I created a cd, using Passage Express, on a HP laptop and a DVD/CD
drive. The OS is WindowsXP Home. I can't view this CD on the laptop
that I used to create it. However, I can view it on another computer
with no problems. The other computer that I view it on is a desktop,

Pamela,
Are you attempting to open the gedcom file using the "open" option under
the file menu? If you are, you are using the wrong option. Under the
file menu you must select the "import" option. This will import the
gedcom file into Legacy. You will need to show Legacy where the gedcom
