The Edit Event Sentence button on the Event for a person is NOT a
sentence override for that event. It changes the sentence definition for
the event as if it was changed from the Master event list. To change for
a single event you have to use the sentence override for the event.

How can I replace a source written with a SourceWriter template with the
same identical source but written using the Basic template? As you
probably already know, you can't merge the two.

To change the event sentence definition for one event for one Individual w/o it
changing every one else you would use the tab marked Sentence Override. and
then use that screen to make it appear how you want.

It is possible that when you were entering a source from the clipboard
you clicked on the prompt for detail setting on the clipboard itself.
That turns off the prompt for detail but does not reset the options >

Once you turn off the prompt on the clipboard that setting stays in
When I click the -- icon to enter a source that is already on my clipboard,
I am ordinarily shown the previous detail. That is no longer the case.
The book icon changes from gray to colored and if I click on it, the detail
is shown, but it is the first detail I entered, not the most recent detail

Like "Refresh" in other contexts within computing, it causes the screen
to be "re-written" using the latest information which might have become
available since that

When you select a Source, a statement of how it will
look when quoted in a report, such as a descendant report, is set out at
the bottom of the selection dialog. That is all you would see in a
family history published as a book. If you want an image to show up in
the Report, you select it from Mult
Brian,
You are, of course, correct, and my post was less than clear - it was written
at about 2-30am, and I was more asleep than awake!
I was trying to explain why a poor resolution image will give a good result on
the web but poor in print.
