NEW per comment 7, but I can't reproduce this on Windows with the oldest of
25.8 bibisect repo or a recent master build. buggies10youth: do you still see
this with 25.8.3?

I have reproduced this bug in the following version.

Version: 25.2.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: bbb074479178df812d175f709636b368952c2ce3
CPU threads: 22; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (10.0 build 26100); UI render:
Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

This appears to be a failure of Dark mode to change the default font color. It
can be corrected by going to tools > options > appearance > font color and
changing that from the default of black to a different color.

This behavior is still present in

Version: 25.8.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 19f3b72f34c487dc97d582712d21734a7e055fd5
CPU threads: 22; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 26100); UI render: Skia/Vulkan;
VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: CL threaded

Spreadsheet example

I am still able to reliably reproduce the bug. And as you are typing new text
in the cell, it is black, and does not change to white until you click out of
the cell, which is also a problem since you can barely see what you are typing.

I've attached a spreadsheet I just quickly created showing the problem.

Performed one more set of tests on an earlier version. changed LibreOffice to
Breeze (dark) theme and Win10 to dark theme. It still doesn't reproduce for me.
Tested on

Thank you for reporting the bug. I can not reproduce the bug using Dark Mode in
Windows 10 and version of LO below. Text of misspelled words continues to
appear white but has red underline.

Version: 25.8.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

In LibreOffice 25.2.2.2, dark mode can cause spell check suggestions to appear
black.
How to fix:
Go to Tools → Options → LibreOffice → Application Colors.
Adjust the Font Color or Document Background to ensure contrast.
Restart LibreOffice to apply changes. https://racinglimits.io
