https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171002 --- Comment #1 from Craig Mason-Jones --- Further research suggests the issue is not in the SAVING of the endnotes - they appear fine in the word/endnotes.xml, but in the READING of the endnotes: when the new file is opened, the endnotes are empty.
