Still an issue in:

Version: 26.2.3.2 (X86_64)
Build ID: 70e089b17412e4cb7773e41413306b17a2328c34
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 11 X86_64 (build 22631); UI render: Skia/Raster;
VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

- - -

I came across this because a user complained about it on the LibreOffice
subreddit:

-
https://www.reddit.com/r/libreoffice/comments/1t6pt9j/workaround_for_endnotes_data_loss/

- - -

On Comment #5, I also added the "dataLoss" keyword to this issue. Thanks for
letting us know. :)

Leads to user data loss, so the severity should be increased.

Further research suggests the issue is not in the SAVING of the endnotes - they
appear fine in the word/endnotes.xml, but in the READING of the endnotes: when
the new file is opened, the endnotes are empty. When the file is then saved,
the empty endnotes are saved, and the endnotes are then gone.
