give me all the same result (problem).

Hi,
Jpg's are stored in an expanded format in .cst and .dir files. I have some
huge source cast files because of this. When you compile your files into
projector/dcr/cct files they should return to their original compressed
size, and maybe a bit better when you throw in shockwave compression.

Is there any way other than changing the bit depth of an image to decrease
it's size in Director? I have d7 and several images that are about 2 Mb

image size is now 4 mb. Can anyone offer any advice or help.
Thanks,

there is only a very small changing area. On a faster machine it might actually be
doing the correct transition , but so fast that it looks like a wipe.

Two things:
-To catch key-events, the stage must be the window in focus. This is
easy to overlook in the authoring environment.
-The number of keys detectable simultaneously, is dependant on the
specific hardware. It can vary from one keyboard to another. The
modifier keys all work simultaneo

Have you tried charToNum and numToChar?

Why do you need the quotes removed anyway?

If you're looking to extract a variable name,

Hi all!
I was just wondering if there is an Xtra out there that allows director to
do a batch export of audio cast members. Here is the situation: We have
director movies that time out to audio files that are listed in numerical

THAT's what I was trying to remember before my last post! This will tell
you what you want, in fewer lines of code that what I posted:

Hi,
If you know the corresponding name, number or reference of the member that
is supposed to contain the Graphic, you can use the type property of the
member (eg: member("logo").type or the type of member("logo")). The type
should be #picture or #bitmap depending on the format of your graphic.

Search through each member in the castLib by name, checking for the one
you want:
on GetMember strMemName, inCastLib
bFoundMember = FALSE

Learning how to make your game time-based instead of CPU-based can be a
journey instead of a destination. Kerry Thompson recently found a smart
technique that might help you out: set your framerate down to 1fps,

You can do this with imaging Lingo, specifically with:

If the two modules are run during the same session, global variables
persist across modules. I have also used one or two field cast members
in an external cast to temporarily store information that was later

Yow, five minutes doesn't seem like much of a limit. I've successfully

Hi all
I have question.
I need to store some values between two different
