here is a procedure i follow sometimes when i need the media from the
protected director file,
1. Create a new director movie with a 'go the frame' script in first
frame
2. create a projector name it 'start'
3. create 'start.ini' text file with the following text inside it

Couple corrections, protecting external casts results in .cxt or .cct (if
shocked) not dcr (those are shocked dir files). However to say that no one
can get into these files is a very big myth. Its fairly simple and

In director you can protect your files by the "Update movie" command. This is known as
protecting and after the files are protected they get the extention as .dxr You can
also protect the external casts which get the extention as .dcr. The user will have no
access to the protected files.

I have this problem with the FileXtra... (on MAC)
On a CDRom, when a user click on a specific button, I want to copy a folder
from the cd into the hard disk of the user.
At first, I taught about having a window with the option for the user to be
able to browse where he wants to install
There is a function *rollOver()* that returns the spriteNum
whenevere the mouse is rolled over that sprite.
In your situation a case statement would help:
on enterFrame
case (the rollOver) of
1: do your tweening here --or go to a marker or whatever
2: do this instead

Or you can re-render the animation against a white background.
An other way is to export your QT as a Pict Sequence,
(you can do this in QuickTime4-Pro or After Effects) and
change the background to white in Photoshop and then
re-compile the pict Sequence as a QT Movie.

if you go to the extras option on the menu - then choose 'update movies' -
select 'protect movie' and choose a folder to back the original file into -
then press proceed - it will turn your file into a .dxr which will mean that
your movie can only be accessed via a projector .

I'm new with lingo and I have a project
with 5 buttons, when I roll over
them I need an image to come from the

Does anyone know of lingo or an Xtra that can minimize a project running
full screen? That is, slap it down to the windows status bar/the Mac
Finder.
I'm looking for a way of doing it from within the projector to be
minimized.
