Hi Karina,
It's not really a Lingo question, but...
Mac files have two things that don't port well to the PC. The first is the
Type/Creator attribute. Since Macs don't usually use extensions (like
.EXE) to say what the file is, they instead use a type/creator
pair. Losing the type/creator

Karina,
Sounds like you may have lost the resource fork on these mac files.
Cross platform files like director casts and movies can be
reassociated. But mac applications and xtras have executable code in
their resource forks. What typically happens when you move a mac app

I think so - it runs PC maclan for the network, and as long as I use the mac
to copy the f

Thanks for your help, but I'm afraid I'll need more info :(

Is your NT server running file server for mac service? T

You see, since I author on the PC and use a runtime Xtras folder (as opposed
to embedding them in the projector), I need a place to keep all the bits of
the project together - mac a

Well, maybe I didn´t mention that I have had the problem with non-executables as well.

Hi gang, I have a non-lingo question... Please don't flame me all at once :>
You know the way, when you author cross platform, and copy your mac
projector and Xtras to the PC?
If I then copy the projector to the mac again, or burn it to a CD, I always
loose the file association of the mac proje
