If I remember correctly, there was some talk a while ago about making
snd "prettier" (or as some pointed out, more Cool edit pro-like). I
remember seeing a screenshot somewhere, but now I am unable to find it,
nor am I able to find the place where I could download it from. The

maybe you should hack cheesetracker's code,
it's C++, so it will be more convenient for you,
java coders.
i've not read the code completely,
but i've seen the design, and it's built not bad at all,
so it will not be difficult to add midi input.
