Sorry, Linux newbie (if you couldn't tell). Here are
the results:

echo $LD_PRELOAD = /lib/libaudiooss.so.1.0

I am logging onto the terminal as WS01 using KDE as
the GUI. The server is running AS2.1; however, the
version file was changed to read as 7.3 during the
LTSP installation.
Once logged into the terminal, I open a shell and try
checking the variables using the commands given and
they return a comma
How does LTSP handle server redundancy and load balancing? Based on the docs
I've read, everything points to a single server implementation.
Have the developers looked at OpenSSI project as a way of deploying redundant
and load balancing servers? I played with that a bit this weekend, and, wh

I still can't get the sound to work with my Diskless
Workstations Jammin 150. I installed the sound package
and get no errors while tailing the workstation boot
up at the server. The messages at the workstation fly
by so fast I can not read them; however, I can make

Tom,
The VIA board supports PXE boot, you need to enable that from the Bios
and configure your DHCP to supply the etherboot image for the VIA Rhine
Ethernet card.
Note: the VIA systems have some problems finding the DHCP server if you
are using Cisco switches. If you face a problem there, you wil

Yes you can boot on lan with PXE-2.0 with these boards.
Michel
I found some mention of a boot ROM in the VIA eden motherboards.
I would like to assume that this runs something like PXE or bootpc/ps
protocols, but can't seem to find anything on the Via websites.
Does anyone here know?

Hi
I've just done a LBE4 installation via 56k modem (ouch!) and noted the
following:
1) on a couple of the larger files, the download aborted after, say, half the
file was downloaded. It immediately started the same file download from the
beginning of the file. Is it possible to specify that dow
