Oddly enough, no. Nor does setting a map for "ctrl+alt+del" in /etc/icewm/keys (I guess built-ins can't be overridden). I solved the Firebird issue itself by using icewm and setting geometry in /etc/icewm/winoptions As a work-around, I've locked the user into an xsession while true; done loop

David, I would guess that your problem is related to the mouse. in XFree86, if the mouse isn't detectetd properly, then the keyboard will appear locked too. Maybe it doesn't like your USB->PS/2 adapter. Can you just plug the USB cable directly into a USB port on your workstation ? If so, you
