Yes, IceWM is good enough but I don't have a choice but to use either
KDE or Gnome for this project.
In connection with this, which of the two is much faster to use for this
kind of an LTSP setup?
I don't know. KDE was considered more "bloated" (or complicated for fans
;o) than GNOME, however the
Hi all,
It gives me great pleasure to announce the release of OpenLab GNU/Linux
Version 3.2
It is currently available for download from http://www.direqlearn.org/olce
OpenLab is a different approach to the design of a GNU/Linux distribution,
built on the premise of "working out of the box". Vers

I don't know your requirements, but I have found the
"Barebones" thin clients from Caseoutlet to be quiet and
work well. With memory, they cost a little over $200.
Here is an example:

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll try everything at work tomorrow.
Its LTSP4.1, but the card is an S3 in some of the clients.
Some clients have 32 and others 64 MB RAM, and I haven't tried swap yet.
Not sure of the colour depth either.
I'll post again after checking or if I solve it.

Just waisted 1.5 hours to find any information or examples on
the LIKE keyword for lts.conf. I have seen one example just last
week. Can anyone help me?
I got a vanilla 2.6.9 kernel working with the 4.1 initrd. Any
recent news about a bootsplash-patch floating around? I only
find patches for 2.6.
