This is about local device access. I am using a 2.6.16
kernel with Gentoo Linux. There is an option to include
FUSE when compiling the kernel. Would this be the same as
installing FUSE as described in the LTSP wiki? Or are
there still utilities included in the FUSE packages that
are not
Ah, I see... But if that's the case, how do the individual apps
control their output volume? Do they just reduce the output before
sending it to ESD?
