Hi,
i am trying to get local dev support up and running. My problem is, that
the hostname of the client differs on client and in $DISPLAY. In the
shell at the client 'hostname' returns the hostname without the domain
suffix. In $DISPLAY the domain suffix is included.
I use dnsmasq as dhcp server.
I have 2 weird issues with my fresh edubuntu ltsp setup.
1) I can't make the greeter work. I set the pretty greeter that I
installed as the default remote greeter and even made the change to

I am writing a best pratice document around LTSP. I am having trouble with the
section on situations where LTSP is inappropriate. I have been advocating it
for so long I can't really see and disadvantages in most situations, and many I
could have sighted are removed using LTSP-5.0.
