Try rebuilding the chroot environment on the server. Be sure to backup
your lts.conf file (or just write the settings down). First you need to
remove the existing directory:
sudo rm -rf /opt/ltsp
Then, if you have the install CD, put that into the cd-rom drive of the
server and use the followin
I gave this version of LDM a whirl and was pleasantly surprised. It
does boot quicker and, after configuring GDM for remote logins, I was
quickly presented with a login screen. Sound still works, but I notice
that the USE_XFS and LOCALDEV options in the lts.conf file do not have
an effect. Local

Turns out I installed Sabayon yesterday and that is what was causing the
profile error.
Oliver Grawert let me know about this. I did sudo apt-get remove sabayon and
all is
well now.
