Is there a way to have terminals automatically logoff after a certain
amount of inactivity time? Searching archives, I saw someone suggest
logmon (www.logmon.com) Is there any other way to achieve this?

Dear All,
I've used K12LTSP-6 for trial but I can't find "Shutdown Button" in the
login screen like Ubuntu 7.04 does.
Can I set K12LTSP to display the shutdown button so my user can simply
click on that button to shutdown their terminal instead of push the
power button on the CPU for 3-seconds

Try the 'strace' magic tool; it will tell you what does the program
try to open, read, write, errors returned, and where

Are the users members of all the necessary groups? (i.e. audio, cdrom, etc)

Hello Ald,
I used ltsp5 + Slackware 11 few moths ago.
With ltsp_ubuntu_6.10_i386-2.tar.bz2 root-tree the result is 100%
functional. at the time, I had to do this:
install the Fuse:
tar -xpzvf fuse-2.6.3.tar.gz ,
./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-kernel-module
Install ltspfs on your LTSP server

I am cross posting this to the ltsp lists as I got no response from the
Crossover list and this software is essential for our school system which I
need to get running by Monday.

No, not with mtools, which only knows about fat.

Running ltsp 4.1 (2.4 ltsp kernel so no FUSE)
2 partitions on USB stick
vfat sda1
ext2 sda2
MToolsFM only sees the first vfat partition. Is it possible to access both?

Hi,
I've been puzzling over the problem of load balancing for some time and
I've come up with an idea.
Our current setup here is that we have 1 nis/nfs server for
authentication and sharing of /home, and we have 3 ltsp servers each
with dhcpd/tftpd/xdmcp.
Here the server that is under the leas
drdb might be worth a look too. (http://www.drbd.org/)

Have a look at ChironFS http://furquim.org/chironfs/
it will keep two (or more) file systems (on 2 servers) in sync and let them
appears as one "virtual" FS at one mount point.
very easy to setup
