Don, If you want to buy devices that are ready to use out-of-the-box, take a look at the HPs at disklessworkstations.com. If you want to build your own, I suggest the VIA mini-itx fanless boards. They are small, silent, and have PXE built in. By the way, you don't have to burn your own EPROMs.

Mohsen, You can either run DNS or add your entries to /etc/hosts. If you don't already run a DNS server, then /etc/hosts seems like it would be easier. The ltspadmin program will automatically make entries but you would want something like this: 192.168.1.10ws001 192.168.1.11ws002 etc..
