So I'm always getting griped at because people have to actually push the
numlock button (blah) anyway I found the numlock package and I've got it to
work but now I'm not sure exactly where to put this so that it autoexecs for
all users.
Any ideas?
And where are you supposed to put things like th
Take the /tftpboot out of you dhcp.conf
Tft already looks in /tftpboot for redhat 7.1 so in essence what your doing
is making it look in /tftpboot/tftpboot/lts
Also make sure you files reside in the dir you have typed
/boot/bootp isn't what I have but you can put them where ever you want
but
Ok I seem to have fixed it (sort of)
Anyway
Now I've got it looking like I want the config file I put in
/usr/share/config/kdmrc is the one that changes things (the util I used
before updates nothing (interesting)
So now my question
I want to have the clock on the logon screen (it just looks
Ok so it isn't totally broke
I just updated to kde 2.2.2 from 2.1.1 everything works but now my login
screen on the terminals and on the server is ugly as hell, shows all the
user pics won't let me pic gnome as a boot option and its just messed up
I try to configure it with the tool I used to us
Along with all the stuff Jason said I would also recommend not server DHCP
out on your DSL line you provider might not like you very much (it might not
effect them but hey why find out) so
Start dhcp on just the 1 interface using the command line
Dhcpd ethX (1 or 0 or any number)
And then if y
You need to start dhcp on just 1 of the Ethernet adapters.
Do you have webmin??? (its really easy to do from there)
And if you start from a startup script in init.d its easy too
I think when you starting from the command prompt you just pass it some info
like
Dhcpd eth0 (or you interface name

I concur.
What you want to be loading is a kernel (either custom made or one from
LTSP) you can download the kernel RPMs from ltsp.org
The one you want if your running the 2.08 of LTSP is
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ltsp/lts_kernel_ne2000-2.2-0.i386.rpm
It will place a file in you /tftpb
I'd go for a dual p3 board as well (tualatins) get one that will take 3 gig
of ram and put 1 or 2 in for starters.
Nic for the clients
If you don't already have client machines build you might look into getting
a motherboard with integrated nic that supports PXE I played with a few and
they seem
in the LTS.conf
set mouse buttons to = 3
and emulate3button = yes
check the spelling on those but you get the idea

You can't just declare the option option-128 anymore you have to do it like

max-lease-time 36000;
ddns-update-style none;
option subnet-mask 255.255.255.0;
option broadcast-address 10
