I run a number of applications remotely over VPN from my home residence
to a large institution with a large internal VPN. I haven't actuially
tried LTSP but I would be confident it would just work. The VPN allows a
network to be created in the one of the private network number ranges
e.g. 192.x

I'd recommend you hit the Thinstation and/or PXES mailing lists/forums.

I much prefer thinstation over pxes. There is a very active mailing
list and helpful website. Using thinstation and nx, i created a boot
image that started the nx client only.

You might also look at NoMachine NX
http://www.nomachine.com/products.php if bandwidth is an issue. There
has been some discussion on the list recently about this - see
