I found a way to install tftp. The problem that was
happening is that the RH9 package for tftp daemon is
called "tftp-server" and not "tftpd" ... I downloaded
it and it worked.

distro), try to install tftpd-hpa(runs standalone) instead of the common
tftpd(runs inside inetd)
