Abraham, I think i've got a better way to deal with this issue. Bjorn Helgaas has given me a patch for getltscfg, that will compare Hostname, IPaddress and MACaddress against the section name in the lts.conf file. I still need to apply the patch and build the new getltscfg, but I think that i

Ours is a Windows shop with a 2000 DHCP server. Our director balked at the idea of using DHCP reservations for our soon to be more than 150 ltsp clients. We put this in rc.local to set the hostname equal to the MAC address. Other people might want to do the same thing. (note ifconfig2 is a
