I've never used ltsp-cluster, could you explain that a bit more?
lts.conf supports "LIKE=" directives for grouping settings.
A new settings deamon,

I used to have a custom xrandr script that would run when XRANDR_DISABLE=True,

What was the issue? I've had off and on issues with thin client

I have built a new i386 LTSP-PNP server, and "inxi -G" on the server yields:

Hello!
I have a rather old machine ([EMAIL PROTECTED], 48MB ram), and I bought a new

David,
The SiS cards require the GLX module.
Take a look at the ltsp wiki. There's information there showing how to
specify the glx module to be loaded.

I am loading the image from a

Everything is running fine

Marcin,
That's not enough info. I need the PCI Vendor and Device ID numbers.
These would look something like: 8086:1234
where the '8086' is the vendor (Intel), and the '1234' is the device.
lspci -n
will show that.

Try:

If that works, let us know the PCI Vendor and Device ID numbers, so we

I'm using this with my Epox 4GVM9I mainboard.

Did you try the simple SVGA driver? In my case, whenever there is a
problem with graphics, SVGA is the minimum that will run on every card.

Hi,
the clients I am using have this video card:
Chipset Integrated Graphics Device
Intel 82845G/GL
This card is not auto-recognized so the X-Server doesn't start.
Can anyone advice me about the correct X_SERVER to specify in lts.conf?
Many thanks in advance.

Joe,
You should be able to purchase ATI expert98 PCI cards.
They come with 8mb of ram, and are very well supported by X.
last time I bought them, I think they ran about $35.
You might also be able to find some Trident cards, and they work quite
well also.

Hello,
I'm trying to boot a Compaq PC as thin client into LTSP 4 (on Suse 9.0
Professional). The Compaq has a Intel Extreme Graphics display adapter. How
can I get the XFree to recognize the card? In other words : What X_SERVER
types are available, how can I see this list? How can I add a driver?
I finally got everything working by using Knoppix X config file. I
tested my laptop with Knoppix and because Knoppix was able to start X
ok, I knew that their config file was a good choise
Thanks

I've got issues. I have clients built from PCs that
have an on-board SIS card, but instead of that I'm
using PCI Nvidia TNT2 Model 64 cards instead. When I
boot the terminal the screen flashes and finally tells
me no screens could be found. I found that I set the
terminals to boot to runlevel 3 ins
