Hi all, Local devices work well. Thankyou.
However, in a classroom environment, I would like to give the students access to a bash shell via a chroot jail. I am using the debian testing package dchroot to do this. Within the jail I have installed a base system like. debootstrap --arch i386 etch /srv/chroot/etch http://ftp.debian.org/debian/ And in /etc/fstab I mount the homes so students can get at their docucments on the 'real' system. /home /srv/chroot/etch/home none bind 0 0 And that where localdev fails. Students can access floppy from outside the jail but on the command line within the jail ~/devices/floppy is no go. Is there anyway round this? Thankyou in advance.
