Mike,
What distro are you using?
How is tftpd starting (inetd or xinetd) ?
What args are being passed to tftpd ?

Hi Saurav,
Please provide following information which might help in further
diagnosing the problem:
1. What version of LTSP are you running on which OS ?
2. How is your tftp server configured ? (in inetd mode or xinetd mode) ?
3. What all arguments are passed when starting tftp server ?
4. What d

Hi Saurav,
The file to be loaded by LTSP is configured through /etc/dhcpd.conf and
the syntax is like this:
filename "/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.21-ltsp-1";
This file can be found on the system inside /tftpboot/ directory. Check
if the file exists, if it has different name modify the dhcpd.c

Probably the easiest way is to use the etherboot disk itself.
The ethernet MAC adress is often written on the card. I thinkt that there's also
a few utilities that can give you the MAC adress f.x. ifconfig on the host.

Glenn,
You need to include a 'filename' parameter in the
dhcpd.conf file. The workstation doesn't know that it
is supposed to download /lts/vmlinuz-2.4.9-ltsp-6
Take a look at http://www.LTSP.org/instructions-3.0.html
for more info on what your dhcpd.conf file should
look like.

Alan,
Are you using Red Hat? In Red Hat the TFTP server chroot's to /tftpboot
with the -s parameter in inetd or xinetd. Therefore you would need to
change the path to the file to /lts/vmlinuz*.

I have had success with removing the /tftpboot path in the directory path
and it works fine.

Actually, I don't have an xinetd entry for DHCP, *however*, I do recall now
that with LTSP 2.08 + Mandrake 8.0, the -s entry in the xinetd e
