I had the same problem just yesterday. In my case the name of the
column had been changed from outside of the workspace (i.e. the changes
were not svaed within the problem WOR). I just changed the column name
in the WOR to match the name in the TAB in question with a text editor.

I had something similar happen before with a shapefile with Polylines.
Somehow, don't ask how, but the geographic data had somehow been changed
to have the exact same co-ordinates for every point in the lines. I
didn't realize it until I exported the TAB to a MID/MIF, then opened the

If this is the case, isn't having the option to open the last workspace in
the Quick Start Dialog kind of useless. I think it should be removed if
this is the way MapInfo wants to go. Personally, I never had any problems
with saving over another WOR file by accident, but maybe I&

I did try to manually unzip this file in every way I could think of. I
continually get errors of various sorts. ProViewer has alwasy had problems
whenever I used it. I guess it has gone to the point of not even being able
to install. Oh well, I guess I'll just delete it.
