Dear list

Is there a way (or tool available) to take a column from a sql join and
append it to one of the base tables involved in the join (similar to the
'Append Rows' function) rather than saving the query result table, closing
down the base table, opening the query table and changing it's name to
overwrite the existing base table?  I hope you follow that.

Help greatly appreciated.
