There is a partial solution to the problems with Windows 2000 and NT:
1. Give the users full control over the files MAPINFO.WOR and MAPINFO.PRF.
This will allow them to save their preferences.
The files are loceted in the WINNT directory.
2. Give the users full control over the folder THMT

I've found that if I haven't closed down any queries in a workspace I have
produced, MapInfo won't allow me to save either. I've just got into the
habit now of closing any layer that I don't necessarily need in the final
makeup.
