I was wondering if anyone has or is in the process of developing PC-link for
the MZ-R55 (for titling) like there is for the Sharp 70x...
Thanks,

Hi
I have just bought a TEAC system, but want to add on a Sony deck.. I cannot
decide whether to go for a 930 or a 530 deck... as i cannot see much

Well, after searching around, minidisc.org came through as usual,
I asked this question in another guise and didn't really get responses, so I
will try again because it keeps me up at night.
What is the maximum linear datastream input/output of MD according to Sony
specs? By this I mean, when the signal is decompressed and turned into a
linear PCM output, wha

That's because bass boost is done at the ATRAC level on MZ-R50 and MZ-R55.

I recall that earlier in CD technology timeline, one statistic often quoted
in the reviews was low-level linearity. It was an audible problem that DACs

Hello All,
Just throught I'd let you know. We ordered a load of MiniDisc's for my
birthday (on the 29th) from Transco yeasturday. We asked for next day,
and sure enough they arrived in a box today at 10pm (which annoyed the
window cleaners 'cos they where over the front door, hehe ;)
Full marks

hello,
I know this is likely an old thread (as it's an old unit), but I'm
interested in finding out info RE the possibility of getting a digigal out
signal from he sharp MS200.
I read the archives, and foudn that several people tested the unit with an
o-scope to find a digital signal. I didn't

Well, I seriously doubt any company is going to be resting on its laurels,
except possibly after a new product launch -- and that's what the 2-week

anything, then they're losing money.
So just be patient. I'm not sure when th

This is interesting, thanks for raising the issue.
Perhaps I should have been more clear.
The underlying issue I was getting at is: what is the
resolution of the A/D converter on the JE520 and
how is that affected by adjusting the record level
*after* the signal has been converted to digital?
Let's say you increase it by 12 dB. I think that me
