I've read about the new 650 meg md's coming out, but I've also read that
they will only be data MDs. I'm pretty sure that this is not the most
current news, so can anybody enlighten me as to the current situation
for 650 meg

Hi guys/gals,
I have a chance to buy some really cheap (at least for Canada...) MDs. =

Not a coincidence. The bug is caused by the unit's thinking that a disc is
coming in when in fact none is.

Are these the 'standard' old Sony black MD's?
Anyone got any experiences to share with this unit? It seems REAL similar
in most respects to the Aiwa AM-F70. Is the AA-pack a clip-on unit or a
seperate thing like on the Aiwa? Any strong reasons why I should choose one
over the other?
/Cameron.
Lucky ... you.
My guess is that we've had a batch problem here in Australia, and I seemed
to be the one to land a portion of that batch (as small as it may be). I've
got about 10 Sony MD's (all standard MDW's, not ES or anything special) and
they all give me trouble one way or another.
Adios,

I recently started catching buses again so I have begun using my portables
again- I took a few minutes today to look at a few MD's for these pin holes
and guess what!! I found a hole, matching the description!.. Pin sized
little holes in the disc that let light through!.. This was a Sony black

You can store digital data on any medium you like, for instance, knots in a

I'm heading over to Hong Kong mid Oct and wonder which would be the better
of the group to buy. I've currently got a Aiwa AM-F7 which is great. The
features are good and I like the jog shuttle. The only thing is there is a
slight hiss which is annoying as I don't think there should be any. I
