I've been a proponent of extending considerably the recording time of
minidiscs for quite a while now. I'm not talking about getting 80 minutes
from a disc but how about several hours? With Sony's unvailing of the MD
Data2 format which is a 650 MB variant of the original 140 MB minid

They already have. 128mb of PC100 is over 200 quid now - doesn't seem to
have hit compactflash/smartmedia etc very hard at all though.

in Florida (800) 368-5020 for $289 + $15 shipping.
They inform me that they expect to receive a batch
of them from Sony in 10-15 days, so I should receive

I am about to purchase a Sony MZ-R90 portable minidsic player.
I want to record to minidisc using binaural mics which I have worked out.
I then will want to record from minidisc to CDR (on a PC) and have not been
