Does anyone happen to know a way to get into the Aiwa's service
mode? Or does anyone happen to know any tricks with it other
than the record from remote one? I want information on this long
forgotten unit.

I was driving home from another city tonight, listening to my trusty
Sony R30 recorder. I had it resting on my right leg with a cassette
adaptor feeding the car radio. I was traveling on the freeway at about

I had some errors with a "caution" message but never the one you

Hey all --
I'm getting a "disc error" message from my AM-F70 no matter what I do. I
tried the magic "reset" button, four varieties of blank disc and even a
prerecorded, and nada. I listen closely and there's a series of faint
whirrings and clickings like it wants to start up, but nothing doing.

Have a look for a "Disc at Once"
Newbie question: If I make a field recording using an analog microphone,
may I may a duplicate of that MD digitally? That is, play the MD in a
player and link digitally to a recorder.
Thanks in advance.

I'd certainly be willing to shell out for one of these cheap car MD players.
If any helpful American MD-listers get hold of a spare one, I'll gladly buy
it from you

Jerry,
What software are you using to burn the CDs? I use Easy CD Creator, and it
has a setting as to how much time you want between the tracks from 0 seconds
up. When I burn a CD from minidisc concert recordings, there is no gap at
all and I don't do anything with sample sizes.

Sort of an off topic question. I have been archiving concerts to
MD for 2 years. I have been trying to put these live concerts on
CD and have experienced the following problem.
When I transfer the track to the computer HD, then burn the CD, when
you play the audio CD back, there is always a 2

Hi All,
I recently purchased an MDS-PC2 because I was really tired of titling on my
MZ-R55 portable. I figured that I could also use the MDS-PC2 to do any CD
to MD copying. I have an SB-Live Value with a Hoontech SB I/O III digital
daugtherboard attached to it. The MDS-PC2 is connected to bot

I've had a Sharp 831 for 6months now, and so far i've had no playback or
recording glitches. I have mds (sony prism, color, tdks, cheap circuit city
mds etc...) and recorded on R50, 831, a 3cd-1md deck, and haven't heard any
glitches so far...
