as i was one of the first to reply this time i'll restate what i said
then. it depends on the Best Buy you go to. the best buy's in my areas
have several home decks and many portables. i hate to burst your bubble but
around here they have yet to eliminate either kind.

i've been reading what everyone had been writing about sound cards with
optical in.
i was concerned about what one person wrote about there being a problem with
optical in cards that drop sounds if optical cable is not perfect?
what does this mean? basically, i need a card that can take

certain MD portable units where you get a carrycase that straps to your arm(i'm still
