was going to record from the radio I would want something with a fixed
aerial which you could guarantee to provide decent reception. THis one
is fine for prtable audio but not really recording quality.

Any comments?

This sounds like a raving review of the Nightingale - does anyone have
anything to say on how it compares with say digital out on a DVD player
or more interestingly how (or should I say if!) it copes with titling?
Thanks

Having just recently got into MDLP, I'm very impressed. LP2 to me is
brilliant, fine for all uses. I like good sound quality, but I'm not
bothered to the extent that some people have been commenting on over the
past few days, and to me, it sounds the same as SP. LP4 definitely has some

Hey
I spent yesterday trying to patch a cable from a minijack to the volume
control of the cassette deck in my car, and had a bit of trouble finding the
right wire to unsolder and connect, etc, because the volume knob was mounted

I attempted to make a live recording using my new Sony

distorted that it's almost unintelligible. I was using
mini-cardioid mics plugged into the MIC IN (no external
power) and tried using both the AGC and setting the
recording levels myself.

Also, I'm looking at the
Sony MZ-R90, primarily for recording live (rock) music in
small-to-medium sized venues. For that purpose, how do you
think the Sony compares to the Sharp MT-831?
Thanks in advance for your help,
