I'm agreeable to the reliability of the Sony portables as my MZR-30 lasted 3
years and the Li-Ion battery is still going strong... The only reason why I
sold it to a friend was because i 'upgraded' to a Sharp 831.
A word of caution though, the reliability of Sony does not extend to their

dropped it from shoulder height 2 months back... got it serviced, but ther
recordings that i do now seems to have a problem recording the fade out
