[ clicks in MP3->MD trouble snipped ]
Thanks for everyone's responses. I bought a set of digital
speakers last night (which I may return) and played some games
with them turned on. I noticed some clicks/pops every o
1Khz source to 48Khz,
and the MD-X5 downsampling the 48Khz to 44.1Khz for recording is
from time to time introducing some little glitches/pops/clicks.
Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? If so, were you able to
cure it in any way?
Thanks!

I'm going to Paris over thanksgiving week, and I plan on taking
my Sharp 722 and some music. I'm curious if anyone has used the
various brands of noise cancelling headphones. If so, which ones
seem to work well, and which don't? Thanks!

Rather, the CDDA is stored with an RF
encoded carrier wave on the disc. In other words, it's stored in
analog. Different transports will come up with slightly
different sets of CDDA after reading it.

I remember a while back reading somewhere that someone's Sharp
722 stopped autoplaying discs when they were inserted. I
discovered this morning that mine will only autoplay discs that
have the write-protect slider in the write-protect position.

Titling his MDs with a HP48S!
Hmm. I've got the JVC XU-301. I also happen to have an HP48SX
laying around that I haven't used for a long time. Does it make
titling easier? What software is out there to do this?

When I checked today it's listed at $168.00 for members. What do
I need to do to get the $99 price? This is a great deal if it
can be had for $99!

I'm considering purchasing this. It will be my first portable
recorder. Does anyone know if you can manually set recording
levels or if the only option for recording is automatic gain
control? Thanks!
