um..i finally installed Hoontech's SB DB III and things seem cool.
but i have this question(since my md recorder is away for service):The LED
light is constantly coming out of the optical output socket, even when i'm
playing no music at all.Is this a problem or is it the way it should be?
stupid
i got SBLive 1024 Player.
Its SPDIF out is: TTL level or Coax Digital ?
I ask coz if it is TTL i could just buy a TOSLINK transmitter and do the job
right?
confused

To stop getting this list send a message containing just the w
p3 to MD (the DFX parameter)
:
: Hi Tim,
: With an optical card, all you get is what you hear at the speakers. That
: means the DFX processing WILL go through the S/PDIF out. And DFX makes the
: recording sound much better. Digital recording is so much simpler than
: Analog.

hi,one more q from me..
i'd like to ask this:
i'm having the usual dillemma: mp3 to minidisc transfer : should i spend the
extra buck to get sth like Hoontech's optical I/O daughter card or go for
analog transfer?(mind u i got SBLive!1024 and a Sony MZR37.)
There is also this parameter: i listen
thanx for the recommendations,i think i might go for the Hoontech
unit(anyone know where i can order it online?)
Also anyone know where i can buy a lot of blanks for less cash?(less than 2$
each?)
cheers

To stop getting this list s
hi.
just subscribed to the list mainly for a tech 'problem' that i have.
i have a 1024 Player SBLive! and i would like to record my mp3s on to my
Sony MZ-R37 portable.
to do this digitally(optical cable) i have to spend $85 for Creative's
Digital I/O Board,or 40-50$ for Hoontech's daughter car
