It is likely you are crossing the part of the single channel,
over to both (you are getting dual mono). 3.5mm jacks are
notoriously bad for losing the ability to connect properly

My Sony MZ-R55 has started playing from only one channel at a time, through
both the line out and the headphone jack on the remote control. Sony doesn't

No.
The closest thing you can get is to reverse engineer the Sony remote
protocol and to do PART of the titling from a computer, but it won't be

Hello,
MZ-R55 sometimes locks up during "Data Save". The only thing I can is to
temporarily remove the batteries (internal and external) for a couple of
seconds to regain control. This does not happen when I record using the
power supply. Is this a known problem? Any siggestions?

I am going out to the Sony outlet in Jeffersonville, Ohio this weekend and they have
some R55's available. I am against this model because of the battery life, but could

I've got a problem with my MZ-R55. It never happened to me before.
When I listen to an MD and for one reason or the other have to stop, I push
the "stop" button (what a genius, huh?). Well, after a few seconds of being
idle, the unit should shut off, shouldn't it?
