available in a slimline desktop or workstation, and

Yes. It saves me around 48 hours on

Hi guys,
Just to re-assure the guy who wondered a couple of nights ago if I
was still alive, yep I am, and so is my PC (which given my recent
overclocking trials is perhaps surprising). The AMD K6-3/400 chip
in my machine is running happily at 450 but I did try earlier today to

Thanks Shawn,
I've joined deja.com and found several groups with fascinating and
relevant discussions. You may consider me suitably chastised and
all further CPU and related questions will go there. Indeed I may now
very rarely post to md-l except when I have something "interesting" to
offer.

Thanks guys,
I'm now running the K6-3/400 at 450mhz (clocked at 4.5x 100 bus) and
it is perfectly stable. The CPU temp is only a couple of degC higher than
before (now 43 degC). I can't really notice much difference but well...
I guess its doing something.
Next time (probably a week or so) I'

if your soundcard lock up even at 37mhz fsb, then you can't change the =
fsb to anything higher than the 66mhz spec. ( and doesn't matter if you =
change to a different mb) t

Hi,
I guess most of us here are highly intelligent guys (?) so I thought
I'd throw this question to you. It is sorta relevant as more processor
power helps with MP3 crunching.
I want to overclock my CPU, but using the BIOS setup opti
