I am interested in what you find. I worry that researchers would be critical of using
MD recordings for analysis.

Did anyone here ever do phonetic analysis using signals recorded with MD?
If so, what were the results?
The reason I ask is that there's this notion that, because of compression,
MD is just not usable for phonetics and it seems like an overstatement.
