I've got a Sharp MD-X5 and an MS-722 player/recorder. I do not notice this
problem at all going in either direction. I guess the question I have to
ask here is what type of recording were you making on the
X5? Digital? Analog? What was your source? If it was external to the
X5, did you
I agree with Rat on this. Get a MD recorded on another unit, or a
pre-recoprded one and see which one is messed up.

Hi All,
I've been looking at the Sharp MD-X5. My main reason is the ability to

errors, the power supply, and the fan.
I had an MS702 por

Worldspy.com have it for $129.99 + $8 shipping. That might be a good place.
I am considering this, but for $199 I can have the triple CDed X60. What would be the
better buy considering I don't actually need either :-)

I just followed the link from minidisc.org for the $100 system, and
it's now $199. Am I missing something, was the page wrong yesterday?
Did anybody get an order in at $99?

The $99 offer for this unit is a steal. I've used one (that I paid full
price for) for a couple of years now, without problems. It sits next to my
computer and I use it as a sound system for the computer as well as a
utility sound system for dubbing CD-MD (one-button!), recording off the
