This is (only) changeable when starting the server:
> /usr/sbin/mysqld --help

--skip-name-resolve Don't resolve hostnames.
All hostnames are IP's or 'localhost'

Hi there
I remember seeing somewhere that there is a way to skip resolution of names
when conneting to the DB, can someone tell me how. I can't seem to find it
in the manual.
