I believe all you need to do is boot into Linux and run /sbin/lilo as root.
Another way is to simply run the install and select the Upgrade option.
Since all your RPMs will be up to date, nothing should be changed and
install will run the Lilo installation again. This worked as of RedHat

be an example in the /etc/skel filesystem. (same as .login in C-SHELL or
.bash_profile in bash) do a man on umask. It sets the file permissions on
all files that you create in your unix session.

G'morning, all;
Any reason why when I install the rpm of screen (version 3.7.4+ansi, if
memory serves me -- something like that), it installs fine but
segmentation faults when I run it?

Hi there,
I've had a situation similar to yours. Just recently I had a single
hard drive and used to have Win98 on it. Afterwards I decided should
have another hard drive for Linux. I believe that you've already done

Concerning login you may have to use the word root then if you wish make
yourself a "user account" name. Use this account name to login. However,
anyone NOT root has limited access over system control and
configuration. This is because Linux (UNIX) is a network OS.
