They are a little flaky. I had to change the interupt for COM 3 in the BIOS settings to allow them to detect it and COM 1 and 2 didn't work. I thought that the big problem was the old Packard Bell I was trying to shoehorn them into. I'm dragging that baby into current technology like an anchor
