You could use vmware (www.vmware.com) to boot either windows from linux or
linux from windows (depending what version you get). I use it to run winNT
under linux and I definitely recommend it.

I want to agree with Seth here, lets get back to Linux. Here is a dumb
question. What is MESA 3.1? The reason I keep Win98 is so I can play Quake 2
online. Can't wait for more gaming to come to the Linux community.

Hmm, now I know how to set it up during installation,
but is it possible to set it up without running the installer
by just telling it to load the correct driver assuming one

Dear Karen and friends
Here is the URL listing all of StarOffice's newsgroups (in English and
other languages).
http://www.sun.com/products/staroffice/newsgroups.html
If you lose the address, just go to Sun's home page (www.sun.com) and
type in the Search box at top "newsgroups".

Perhaps I should simplify a bit. I would certainly enjoy running Windows and
Linux at the same time. It seems that I cannot do this. That makes sense. I
have heard that people can start their machine with Windows and then from there
boot into Linux. How is this possible.

I installed two nics in my mandrake 6.0 sometime back. I just stuck the second
one in and fired up the machine, and it was recognized right off the bat. I
haven't had to do anything other than 'turn it on' in netconf.
One is a linksys and one is 3com, both are pci. There was no 'forceing'

Would you be able to tell me where the newsgroup is? The only one I found on
Deja is German. My local news server doesn't have a StarOffice newsgroup
either!
Thanks!

Win9x/WinNT/Win2k maybe stable strate after installing but try adding some
buggy 3'rd party drivers (SIS comes to mind) and watch your system BSOD.
Windows is stable if you feed it the right hardware and the best of breed
Drivers. And maybe a genourous helping of CPU and RAM and Harddrive Space.

hello all!!
I'm having a small prob with Xman. I'm running Linux-Mandrake 6.1. Every
time I use Xman to open a man page they come up in an encrypted like text.
Is this a bug in LM 6.1 or what? Should I reinstall Xman?(wich I cannot

Wish I could find the post I used to do it. But the Star Office browser is

whenever i use netscape to access my secure server that is running

going through the dialog boxes to make sure I really want to access the
site, that "netscape has encountered bad data from the server". what is
the problem and h

Hi,
I have just installed Mandrake 6.1. Everything is working just fine,
except some kde programs. The problem is about toolbar icons (in most
windows). It looks like icons files were corrupted and instead of icons
I can see some rectangual random bitmaps. Has anyone noticed similar
problem ?
