i know this is a question which has been asked several times on this
mailing list..but...i cant mount fs as user.although i have set the
"user" option in /etc/fstab
it keeps telling me that only root can mount filesystems.i dont know
whats going on...

Is it possible to use Balsa with Kde, or daoes it have to used in the Gnome

I installed mandrake 7.1 from the drive fine, so it recognizes it
and mounts it for installation. Afterward, when it is installed
it will not mount. It returns '/dev/cdrom is an invalid block device'.

I installed MKD 7.1 with XFree 4.0, and when I loaded XFDrake con configure it, it installed version 3.3.16 and I cannot go back to 4.0...

kpackage to install the kdesu rpm file you can look under the
files tab where there's a list of all of the files that
kpackage will install from the rpm file. Near or at the top
of that list /usr/bin/kdesu will be listed.

And then be sure to change all the permissions on those files so that you own
them. "chown your_name *" and "chgrp your_name *". Might also need to copy
/root/.kderc to your user directory.

I finally got it to work! Apparently I had messed up a setting early on and
it sent a job to the print server which hung it up. I found it when I tried
to print from Windows and nothing would print. I reset the server and when
I booted Linux, it started printing.
